A joint is the location at which two or more bones come in contact. The joint complex is made up of muscles, ligaments, cartilages, and synovial membranes that are designed to bear weight and movement. This in turn makes them susceptible to wear and tear, which is manifested by pain.

So the question at large then is, how do we take the load off our joints?

1)       Shed those extra pounds, if you have them

2)      Correct posture

3)      Toning the muscles around the joint

4)      Aligned joints, chiropractic adjustments, ahem.

5)      Braces around the joint

All of these will decrease the physical load off your joints thus decreasing the wear and tear of your joints.  So take a load off and take care of your joints.
